Scientific background
Ludek completed his PhD in Physical and Materials Engineering at the Institute of Physical Engineering at the Brno University of Technology (CZ). His PhD work was focused on studies of Incoherent-light Digital Holographic Microscopy techniques from the theoretical and experimental perspective. During his PhD, he visited University College London, there he did Correlative Light and Electron Microscopy studies of bone tissue. Before he moved to ISTA, he worked in Laboratory of Light Microscopy at CEITEC as Laboratory Technician. He joined ISTA in 2011 as BioImaging expert. In 2013 he became responsible for establishing Electron Microscopy Facility at ISTA. Since then, he is in charge of the Electron Microscopy Facility.
